Our client requires an Internal Sales Representative to assist for six months on a contract basis to handle customer inquiries in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Client contact is through emails, telephone calls or proprietary online portals

The duties will entail the following:

  • Solve daily problems relating to all internal sales and related activities.
  • Function in a high level cross functional team, leading and inspiring other team members.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of operational and internal sales requirements.
  • Excellent housekeeping skills – maintain orderly working areas and sound relationships.
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support.
  • Presenting and delivering information or samples to potential clients.
  • Answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions.
  • Maintaining database of current and prospective client information.
  • Create demands on the AX system from the internal and external sales.
  • Create demands on the ExportDocs system for export sales.
  • Process sales quotations and also subsequent sales orders on the AX system.
  • Process sales quotations and also subsequent sales orders on the ExportDocs system.
  • Confirmation of customer delivery through the timeous invoicing of ex-wharf deliveries Ensures compliance with the PMC Supply Chain policy at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary Education in Sales / Marketing

Experience
Three years’ experience in Internal Sales environment in a heavy industry such as mining, oil and gas or petrochemicals
Managegerial experience
