Purpose of the job:
The purpose of this job is to provide general supervision and facilitate the leisure activities on offer in order to guarantee a memorable experience for our guests whilst also ensuring their safety.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
- First Aid level 1 or higher will be an advantage
- Rope tech Level 1 or higher will be an advantage
- Pool lifeguard Award affiliated with Lifesaving South Africa
Experience for General Leisure Attendant – Lifeguard:
- Proven swimming ability
- 1 year lifesaving experience will be an advantage (volunteering at water sporting events)
Job requirements:
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Knowledge of CPR and other emergency medical procedures (Aquadome).
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Willing to work shifts, private functions, including evenings, weekends, public and school holidays
- Ensure that all service areas are ready for operation on time
- Assist pool technician with pool chemical checks to ensure safety and hygiene
- Attend regular lifeguard training sessions to ensure ongoing development as well as compliance of the standard operating procedures (Aquadome).
Successful candidates must be willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
