My client, a well-established manufacturing company in Durban North is currently looking to employ a Senior Production Supervisor.
Purpose of the role
Supervises the activities of a group of employees/ controllers engaged in performing a variety of production or assembly operations. Responsible for the training of new employees as well as the training in safety procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Controlled & reported product quality parameters
Controlled product & production processes
Maintained people, plant, machinery and equipment to improve efficiencies
Controlled raw material stock levels
Ensured safety, health & hygiene
Managed team
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma / Certificate in Production Management or Operations
4 – 5 years supervisory experience within the manufacturing / production environment
Computer skills including SAP and MS Office
Working Shifts
Sound understanding and application of safety, health & hygiene
Sound understanding of controlled Food manufacturing production processes
Must have experience to set and monitor KPI’s
Experience in structured stock take and cycle counts including backflushing and adhering to BOM’s
Experience in planning staff and materials to achieve production targets as per budget
