• To effectively manage the stock control and distribution of all product
  • To drive adherence to quality policies and procedures and highlight any deviations. This may include troubleshooting problems in distribution processes, assessing products according to predefined quality standards and redirecting products that fail to meet quality standards
  • To assist in preparation and execution of mock recall, distributing and receiving of products
  • To manage conduct and behaviour of employees, further ensuring that they are motivated to deliver required outcomes consistently
  • To conduct compliance verification of equipment, supplies and quality process and product labelling ensuring that they meet industry and legislative standards
  • To control accurate stock counts daily, weekly and monthly
  • To produce accurate month-end and year-end stock count results
  • To ensure correct selection and shipping of orders to customers, including item tracking
  • To ensure correct setting and maintenance of temperature of refrigeration equipment
  • To manage team and operations adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Inspections are always arranged and take place exactly as planned
  • All stock is always accounted for – both theoretical & physical
  • Stock is stored in an organised and logical and undamaged state
  • Keep all 3rd party cold storage stock updated in accordance with Marel
  • A minimum of 4 stock counts per annum (one per quarter) verifies the exact & accurate stock levels
  • Computer generated reports indicate the type and age of stock on hand
  • Liaising with Quality Department [on sample testing] ensures health certificates are issued

Desired Skills:

  • matric
  • Minimum of 3-5 Years Logistics or Warehouse management experience will be advantageous
  • A minimum of 3-5 years hands on experience in a food or marine environment
  • Experience in a cold storage environment
  • Computer literate
  • Basic Knowledge of food/fishing industry
  • Knowledge of Food safety standards
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Basic HR Knowledge
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Own transport

Desired Work Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years

Desired Qualification Level:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
