Our client is a large, expanding, successful, JSE listed Group, with its Head Office in Johannesburg.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the General Manager Finance, the successful candidate will need to analyse, interpret and provide critical financial information relating to contracts, multiple entities (e.g. wholly-owned companies, trusts, joint venture etc.), and multiple assets (e.g. properties, non-real estate, stock etc.), across a number of countries.
Key Performance Areas include:
- Fixed asset management (e.g., capex management, adhere to taxation guidelines, follow required authorisation frameworks)
- Stock analysis and reporting
- Control management fees and intercompany billing
- Non real estate contract management
- Manage and control relevant financial reporting
- Conduct trend analysis, analyse, and interpret findings
- Prepare and present budgets for approval
- Liaise with external auditors
- Lead and manage staff
- Support and drive the vision and values of the Company
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders and internal departments
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes Required:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Finance
- A post graduate qualification (Degree or Certificate) will be beneficial but not essential
- Minimum of 15 years’ total work experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in working in a financial role
- Minimum of 5 years’ management experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working in a multi-currency environment
- Excellent computer literacy
- SAP experience would be advantageous
- Ability to implement processes, structures, and disciplines where and when required
- Highly skilled verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and planning skills
