12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To maintain safe and secure functioning of company information systems, networks, implementation and oversight of information security programmes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum National Diploma NQF 6 in Computer Science / Information Technology.
- Certificate in any of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) added advantage.
- Security+, CCNA, ISO 27001, N+ will be an added advantage.
- 2 years’ experience in information security with combined experience in Firewall Administration, Cisco administration, IPS/IDS and Vulnerability assessment.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
Safe Functioning of Company Network Security Infrastructure:
- Implementation and maintenance of company network security infrastructure
- Perform vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, systems security planning, and security infrastructure assessment and evaluation
- Monitors the internal control systems using the appropriate tools to ensure access control levels are maintained.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining CISCO switches, routers and wireless devices
- Installing, configuring, and managing Firewalls
- Monitoring and maintaining the attacks and exploit mechanisms, intrusion detection technology and data loss prevention product
Information Security Plans, Policies, Procedures and Risk Management:
- Implement, monitor compliance and provide continuous review to security policies and procedures
- Identify risks and provide mitigation plan on the company network
- Implement the recommendations of the IT Security Committee
- Provide advise on the current security and technologies information related to regulatory issues
- Implement information security awareness programs
IT Continuity Disaster Recovery Plan:
- Checks existing accounts and data access permission against documented authorisations
- Implement internal vulnerability assessment of IT Systems
- Monitor antivirus systems on all Company computers and servers
IT continuity disaster recovery plan
- Coordination of the disaster Recovery site
- Develop and implement Disaster Recovery test plans
- Coordinate, maintain and back-up emergency kit
- Coordinate the testing of the IT continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan
Administer the Security Information Incidents:
- Ensure that all reported security incidents follow appropriate channels for correction
- Attends to any information security violation
- Perform security audit on the network, interpret and analyse network traffic and related log files and prepare incidents reports
