Management of the declared radio and optical Astronomy Advantage Areas
- Develop and maintain a permanent register of all the affected and interested parties of the declared Astronomy Advantage Areas.
- An up to date register of all the affected and interested parties for the declared Astronomy Advantage Areas.
- Develop the declaration of certain areas in the Northern Cape as the core, central & coordinated radio and optical Astronomy Advantage Areas.

- Facilitate the publication of the declaration of certain areas of the Northern Cape as the core, central and coordinated radio and optical Astronomy Advantage Areas.
- Publication of the declared radio and optical Astronomy Advantage Areas in the national gazette and at least two national news papers
- Develop the declaration for the assignment of the Management Authority for the declared Astronomy Advantage Areas in terms of the AGA Act.
- Publication of declarations in the national gazette and in at least two national news papers.
- Facilitate the process of developing and reviewing regulations on the protection of the declared Astronomy Advantage Areas in terms of the Astronomy Geographic Advantage Act [URL Removed] of 2007
- Number of facilitated public consultation sessions held.
- Approved regulations published in the national gazette and in at least two national news papers
Protection of the declared Astronomy Advantage Areas from detrimental optical and radio interferences
Management of standards and threshold levels for authorisations and prohibitions relating to the radio frequency interference management
- Develop a Technical report based on the technical analysis produced with the spectraEMC software and make recommendations for approval

EXPERIENCE
? Minimum 3 years working experience as an
Assistant Director/ Middle Management in electronic
communications or Astronomy environment
LEARNING INDICATORS / QUALIFICATIONS
NQF level 6 qualification in Science/ Engineering/ Technology / Law.
