Our client, an Education Technology company with a 10 year track record, is looking for an expert in B2B sales and customer success to join their growing sales team!

They are currently in a high growth phase for one of their products, which has both local and international customers. As B2B Business Developer you will focus on finding partners and resellers for their online platform. The role is end-to-end in that you will need to hunt and prospect for leads and do all of the work up until the deal is closed. Thereafter, some relationship management will be required.

Education: Any tertiary education

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales
  • Experience selling a SaaS/SAS/SAP or similar product is critical
  • Experience hunting and prospecting
  • Experience in education is advantageous
  • Experience selling in international markets is advantageous

Key Accountabilities:

You will report directly into the Head of Growth and will be accountable for achieving sales targets linked to the B2B environment. The role entails:

  • Understanding the product that they sell and the different markets that they sell to. In this regard, you will need to identify an audience that you believe you can sell to and will need to understand the different channels in which you can access the target market.
  • Hunting and prospecting leads using any sources available, from personal networks and contacts to LinkedIn and other avenues.
  • Making contact with leads and being able to sell the value of products to them.
  • Managing the entire sales process end-to-end with your leads, until the deal is closed.
  • Ensuring that all negotiations and opportunities are commercially viable for the business.
  • Once signed on, there will be a degree of relationship management required to ensure the longevity of the client.
  • All sales work must be tracked on SalesForce.
  • You will be working as part of a larger sales team.
  • You will need to speak to people in different markets, and thus will need to work at different hours in the day.
  • You will be accountable for delivering on set revenue targets, user targets, international sales targets, client retention and other key metrics for the role.
