A national, leading automotive manufacturer, supplying local and selected African and European markets is looking for a qulaified and experienced individual to join their maintenance team in the PE factory. Requirements:
- Matric
- Certificate in Technical discipline or Maintenance related fields (NQF 5)
- Diploma in Technical discipline or Maintenance related fields (NQF 6)
- Trade Test is essential (NQF 5)
- Certificate in First Line Management (FLMP) (NQF 5)
- 5yrs experience in Maintenance Operations in a manufacturing environment
- 1-2yrs supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3yrs experience working shifts – Advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance operations and control
- Ensure effective reactive, predictive and preventative maintenance is performed on all plant infrastructure / equipment as required
- Co-ordinate first line maintenance to restrict or prevent plant / equipment downtime
- Raise job cards for all maintenance work required, ensure work permits are included
- Drives and participates in all fault analysis on equipment failure i.e. root cause analysis – 5 WHY, 8 D etc.
- Approves all job cards after maintenance work is completed successfully
- Identifies and reports risks or areas of concern to management within own department and area of responsibility
- Represents the company in stakeholder meetings
- Ensures ongoing training and development of employees
- Contributes to the budget preparation process
- Monitors and controls expenditure against budget and ensures spending occurs within budgetary limits
