We are looking for a seasoned Programme manager to lead and coordinate various national

projects related Digital Migration, with particular focus on Analogue Switch-off (ASO). The

position will be based in the office of the Director General (DG) within the Department of

Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT).

The candidate will be responsible for developing and leading programs to drive the country’s digital migration objectives, as well as coordinating stakeholders and reporting to senior officials within the ICT sector.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in both projects and

programme management, including ability to lead teams and respond to dynamic projects

environment. The candidate should be experienced in significant infrastructure project rollout,
qualified in project management, and recognized by projects management institute.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business or related field.
  • Proven experience in programme management.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in formulating and executing projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Coordinate the Overall DTT migration plan in alignment with theAnalogue Switch-off objectives.
  • Organizing programs, resources, and activities to achieve the DTT migration andAnalogue Switch off objectives.
  • Establish and guide the national DTT migrations awareness objectives.
  • Establish and guide the production and distribution of retail market set-top boxes
  • Determine the national migration budget for various projects and expedite access to funding.
  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the DTT migrations project.
  • Coordinate DCDT PMO outputs with various entities responsibilities and drive
  • performance.
  • Implementing and managing changes and intervening appropriately to ensure project goals are met.
  • Engaging stakeholders to unlock projects hurdles and build holistic project support and stakeholder buy-in across the country.
  • Producing accurate and timely programme performance reports to update senior official with the Government of South Africa.
  • Analyze and mitigate DTT migration and Analogue Switch-Off risks.
