The incumbent is responsible for the overall formulation and execution of the Company’s strategy with a focus on revenue, margin and profitability management, sales productivity, CRM and market share acquisition.

This Exco role encompasses taking direct responsibility for the different Sales teams, with the managers of the various units reporting into this role. The incumbent is tasked with ensuring the integrated commercial success of the Company thus must ensure that all cross-functions of the company are aligned – through executive collaboration and synergy – to meet strategic commercial objectives. This role will also encompass investment in and management of critical internal stakeholder partnerships, which make up the core product of the Company; Marketing, and Research and Insights.

In addition to managing the performance of the four sales managers, a central and crucial part of this role is to manage revenue quality and all associated levers and practices. Inputting into and monitoring; pricing, discounting policies and practises; monitoring and management of sales discounting disciplines and revenue mix management will all be important areas of focus in this role. As such the incumbent will also work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Further, the CSO will be responsible for working alongside the Exco and with the sales managers to craft and implement sales strategies across different products, market segments and geographies.

The incumbent shall lead all the Public Sector Sales Team; Direct Sales Teams; and Creative Solutions both in Johannesburg and Cape Town and be completely accountable and responsible for their performance.

 

Education

  • Graduate Degree 

Experience

  • At least 10 or more years sales management, preferably in the services industry
  • Ideally suited to a candidate who transitioned from selling into a sales management / oversight role
  • Strong industry and client relationship building

Demonstrable experience in managing the revenue viability of businesses with proven results in the form of increased revenues and operating margins
