The requirement has risen for a Functional Specialist: Solutions Architect to join the I&T Solution Architecture team, to help support the digital transformation in the area of Employee
Empowerment.
- The Functional Specialist: Solutions Architect establishes and maintains value-stream aligned solution architect and business analysis capabilities, aligned to appropriate enterprise standards, best practices and methodologies.
- The Functional Specialist: Solutions Architect has cross domain level knowledge and is accountable for creating integrated solutions and will collaborate and support the architectural consulting function in architecting client solutions.
- Primary objective is to ensure the optimal functioning of an entity’s IT application software and infrastructure by outlining complex solution architecture descriptions across domains, functions and industries, then monitoring and governing the implementation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in multiple industries and across several disciplines
- Experience with projects through the software development process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrable experience working as a solution architect in a global IT services provider organisation.
Qualifications and Certifications
(Qualifications & Certifications are very flexible/Negotiable as work experience is most important to them)
- Bachelor’s Degree level Engineering / Finance
- Industry recognised Solution Architecture certifications (Advantageous / Flexible)
- TOGAF / COBIT or related certification or Experience (Advantageous / Flexible)
- Scaled Agile Certification would be preferred (Advantageous / Flexible)
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Working knowledge of solution design and business analysis
- Proficient in the assessment of business objectives, formulating solution options and driving stakeholder support.
- Comfortable in leading workshops to assess business requirements and discussing solution design.
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly focused on outcomes
- Familiarity with:
- HRIS
- Learning and Payroll systems,
- ideally SAP (SuccessFactors)
- Knowledge of the SAFe methodology (or similar agile methodology)
- Knowledge of vendor roadmaps, new developments and new product offerings.
- Display the required interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders.
