Our client, a leading automotive component manufacturer seeks to employ a qualified and motivated Logistics Manager who will be responsible for managing the finished goods warehouse and the overall supply relationship with customers, as well as third-party Logistics providers.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Responsible for all outbound logistics functions including finished goods warehouse.
- Act as a liaison for customers regarding any logistics queries.
- Responsible for integrating individual customer logistics requirements with the Warehouse Management system.
- Receive, analyse, and input weekly customer releases into the Group EFOS system.
- Ensure the latest customer requirements are included in the BSA Production Plan (liaising with the Production Planner).
- Alert customers timeously regarding any deviations to delivery schedule.
- Manage and develop the Logistics team.
- Responsible for the implementation and management of EHS requirements in the department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A completed tertiary qualification in Logistics Management (BTech) is essential.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years working in Logistics Management at a Tier 1 OEM Supplier.
- Experience with imports and exports of automotive components.
- Knowledge and understanding of custom regulations and procedures.
- Detailed understanding of OEM logistic requirements and procedures including MMOG.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer literacy essential (Word, Excel, E-mail, Access).
- Valid South African driver’s license.
- Good decision making and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and as an integral team member.
- Impeccable disciplinary and attendance records.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills when meeting external customers.
