Our client, a leading manufacturer in the tool and equipment industry is seeking an experienced Project Engineer.
PCL / Automation / Electrical experience is essential.
Key Objectives
- Maintain contact with existing number of known customers.
- Design, develop, factory test and commission electro-mechanical system and mechatronics devices.
- Design electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system for customers and prepare the relevant quotations considering the competitor’s prices and equipment, remaining within the profit constraints set by the company.
- Prepare the necessary system circuit-, mechanical assembly – and manifold drawings, bill of materials, maintenance – and operation manuals, work breakdown structures and commissioning documents.
- Issue orders for local buyouts and liaise with suppliers regarding indent orders.
- Preparation of technical specifications for subcontractors and liaising with them regarding technical issues. Monitor financial progress of projects and jobs.
- Management of projects and job from initial orders through to commissioning, acceptance certificate, invoicing and job card closing.
- Assisting workshop staff and sales staff with installation, trouble shooting, and faults finding on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system and equipment and assist where necessary.
- Should customer be late with payment, apply the necessary persuasion to obtain monies owing.
- Answering telephonic enquiries for hydraulic equipment and spares, cross-referencing competitors ‘products to xxx products and assist at counter.
- Assist all xxx sales and workshop staff as well as all xxx Branches.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years practical experience in the electrical/hydraulic field
- Code 8 driver’s license
- Matric (Grade 12)
- N. Dip: B. Tech, BSc. In Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Good PLC knowledge and general engineering knowledge and skills. PC Literate.
