Scope of Position: To plan, support and lead tasks on projects/equipment, including:

  • Develop new manufacturing technologies and methods
  • Improve existing manufacturing processes and capabilities
  • Develop methods and processes for the manufacture and characterization of new products
  • Develop methods, measurements and processes to improve existing products
  • Support manufacturing improvement initiatives, including variability reduction, defect reduction, process control improvement, 6-Sigma

Requirements:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline (ceramic, materials, or chemical preferred) along with:
  • 7-years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering or development
  • AutoCAD
  • General Machine Regulations (GMR2.7 Appointment)

Experience:

  • Skills and experience with statistical process control and Design of Experiments methods
  • Experience with application of 6-Sigma methods

Important information:

Travel Requirements: You can expect around 20% travel which can include international travel with extended stay overseas.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: You can expect to work Monday to Friday around 40 hours per week, but ought to be flexible. There will be times when off shift work and weekend work is required in order to support manufacturing, experimentation, and implementation of projects.
