My client, International specialists in the design, manufacturing and distribution of innovative, smart energy-saving solutions for projects, is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to be based in Paarden Island.
The successful candidate will need to eventually set up the Cape Town Office and help to grow the staff compliment.
This will be a work-from-home position until the office is successfully set up.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Sales Manager within the Lighting Industry
- Must be business Savvy and have relationships within the Lighting Manufacturing Industry.
- Relevant Qualifications
- Must be “Service-delivery” focused.
- Must be Self-motivated.
- A degree in lighting technology, or an equivalent in a technical and/or business discipline, and/or equivalent experience would be an added advantage.
- Experience in technical sales ideally in the lighting industry, with a demonstrable record of success
- Professional knowledge and experience in a B2B environment
- Customer service and result-oriented approach, ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organisational, project management and analytical skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills and experience in implementing sales plans.
- High interpersonal and communication skills and positive personal energy
- Willingness to travel and to spend time in HQ (Poland) with customers for business meetings, product training/launch activity.
- A valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
- Building the brand and generate leads, secure specifications, and projects, to ultimately deliver the agreed level of sales volume and profits.
- Preparing action plans to identify new customers and projects, actively and effectively searching out new leads and sales prospects.
- Building/maintaining strong relationships with customers
- Providing solution-oriented advice and price proposals on lighting offers
- Providing regular sales forecast and project pipeline updates
- Maintaining CRM records for all contacts, projects, and activities
- Developing regular account and sales management reports
- Providing input into marketing plans and the annual budget process
- Providing feedback on the evolving customer demands in the local lighting market.
- Understanding of the competitive landscape and key market drivers, support company strategy thus ensuring sustainable growth of the product/service portfolio
