Data Management Professionals South Africa (DMP SA) has joined forces with Gabsten Technologies to deliver end-to-end data management services, solutions and consulting.
“The two businesses have always worked closely together, but with the onslaught of Covid-19 we saw an opportunity to grow, rather than downscale. Working together, we will be able to share resources rather than duplicating efforts, and as a result, we have been able to employ more people during the pandemic, instead of retrenching them,” explains Iniel Dreyer, MD of DMP South Africa.
Both DMP South Africa and Gabsten have similar offerings, including a focus on the Commvault solution set. Working together will enable both companies to deliver value-added services through a single, unified offering and shared skill sets. However, while Gabsten has always been solely channel focused, DMP SA also works directly with customers, and has a Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) offering hosted out of Teraco.
In addition, DMP SA has a strong partnership with the international DMP organisation with headquarters in the Netherlands. Working together, the joint organisations will be able to enhance existing relationships with customers and the channel, while building both of the business streams going forward.
DMP SA has a strong focus on the DMaaS offering, and the expertise of Gabsten complements this, bolstering DMP SA’s ability to deliver these as a Service offerings to customers and the channel alike. The collaborative relationship will help to expand the companies’ horizons and provide services beyond South Africa’s borders, with the ability to take new offerings to market faster than ever before.
“This move was a natural progression for both of our organisations, empowering us to make the organisation leaner while still giving our staff job security and a roadmap to grow. We are now able to give our joint customers a higher level of expertise and access to a broader pool of skills, which means better service. We will continue to be solution focused and grow together, with the same shared vision and goals. Ultimately, our aim is to ensure the safety of data for everyone,” Dreyer concludes.
