- Our client is looking for a senior Industrial Engineer with strong business analysis and project management skills who can manage and develop good internal and external relationships, networking and change management.
- Looking for a candidate that is systems orientated but can work on various projects concurrently and engage on Executive and controller level. The role will focus on multiple systems and business solutions.
- Detailed business analysis for Supply Chain by identifying problems, opportunities, and possible solutions.
- Variance analysis on planned output required vs actual performance achieved across Manufacturing and Logistics operations.
- Reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Product Life Cycle Management Process Improvements – Scoping / Testing / Rollouts System Implementations & Continuous Improvements.
- Identify & Assist in system upgrades and enhancements.
- Eliminate manual processes in Logistics as far as possible.
- Assist IT with functional management of the Logistics systems.
- Assist the operational team with day-to-day support and troubleshooting of Logistics systems.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team in building capability in Logistics.
- Define business requirements and report them back to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder analysis.
- Translate business and customer needs into an implementable IT solution guaranteeing effective implementation of standardized best practices.
- Guarantee proper business requirements are delivered, translated into the IT solution and to give guidance to business and technical teams.
- Analysis of logistics requirements originating from business and customers as part of projects or RFCs (requirements elicitation).
- Influencing business into best solution and “sell” this solution, taking into account available (standardized) IT products and solutions.
- Perform GAP analysis between the regional Standard and selected IT Products.
- Understand opportunities and limitation of given IT systems and ensure proposed business solution will be adherent to the given standards.
- Support and coordinate project activities in line with the project management methodology to achieve successful project delivery.
- Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks and lead the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and project delivery.
- Analyse business processes; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches.
- Review requirements and specifications and defines test conditions.
- Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes.
- Analyses and reports test activities and results.
Minimum Requirements
- Industrial Engineering Degree required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics/IT (B. Com or Diploma) advantage.
- Relevant BA certification and PM certification an advantage.
- Must have Logistics / Courier / Freight / Imports / Exports / Manufacturing or Supply Chain working experience.
- Must have experience with the setup of logistics processes and related applications.
- Must have project delivery experience.
- Project & Vendor Management Cost Management Licensing & Projects Knowledge, Skills and Experience.
- Good understanding of logistics, warehousing, distribution, and inventory.
- Deep knowledge of logistics processes.
