A vacancy exists for a Project Manager based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Responsible for driving all projects related to the businesss retail and clients needs and ensuring the management, facilitation, and execution of all established projects, to new projects from concept to final stage.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have Matric / Grade 12
  • BCom degree – NQF 7 in Sales and or Marketing / Retail / Project Management
  • Any related post-graduation tertiary qualifications – NQF 8, advantageous.
  • Any commercial/contractual law advantageous
  • Valid drivers license with own reliable vehicle

EXPERIENCE

  • Must have at least 10 years of retail experience in a senior management position
  • Furniture industry experience will be advantageous

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify appropriate marketing and advertising channels to projects identified
  • Understanding of the total retail journey.
  • Drive Brand awareness and the role they play in the Retail space.
  • Understand and recommend Digital and social media platforms including websites and e-commerce necessary to successfully coordinate projects.
  • Research and understanding the market segmentation, demographics, consumer needs, psychographic and behavioral criteria.
  • Required to travel extensively, as necessary, country-wide.
  • Propose and design recommended business plans
  • Manage all projects to allocated and approved budgets.
  • Must be able to lead a work team to achieve project goals within the given constraints.
  • Must be able to conduct successful training modules and measure results thereafter.
  • Set up appropriate feedback channels for businesses and clients.

SKILLS / BEHAVIOR

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Budgeting, with financial modeling and related financial acumen

  • Excellent ability to formulate ideas and create presentations for acceptance.
  • Commercial/contractual law advantageous

  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to analyze and interpret data related to the retail space
  • A proven track record in developing and identifying relevant projects from concept to opening and managing cross-functional teams.
