The Tribunal seeks a suitably qualified candidate for the position of ICT Officer, to implement, monitor, maintain and repair network communication, hardware, and software systems.

  • National Diploma in Information Technology or Degree in Information Technology
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementing, monitoring, maintaining, and repairing network communication, hardware and software systems Knowledge, Attributes & Skills:

Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Ensure security, non-failure, and resilience of video/voice communication systems.
  • Conduct security and operational availability checks on all systems to maintain efficiency of service.
  • Troubleshoot arising system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware/software faults.
  • Provide reliable and accurate reports on all systems, applications etc. so as to provide evidence of system uptime, faults etc.
  • Perform maintenance, monitoring and repair tasks on all:
  • Applications
  • ICT servers
  • Case management systems
  • Remote access systems; and
  • Other specific ICT systems implemented
  • Communication systems (e.g., switches etc.)
  • Implement acceptable levels of environmental safety measures for ICT server/network infrastructure
  • Training of staff on IT and related programs where necessary
  • Perform weekly vulnerability scans and produce results reports for NCT network and ICT infrastructure
  • Ensure that systems are configured to automatically protect the network
  • Ensure that systems are automatically updated (e.g., ongoing patch management)
  • Advice on possible system risks and how they can be better managed
  • Develop training and instruction and user manuals for staff as and when required.
  • Proactively administering backup and recovery operations by maintaining and monitoring systems back-up equipment and data
  • Ensure that off-site recovery requirements are constantly in place and functional.
  • Perform regular backup restore tests and document.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly backup reports
  • Perform, coordinate and produce reports for Disaster Recovery exercises for NCT twice a year.
  • Contribute to the development of the monthly report and ensure that it is submitted to the ICT Analytical Manager on time.
  • Be responsible for the compilation of the ICT performance information in line with the ICT business unit scorecard requirement.
  • Participate in ensuring that business plan outputs, risk actions and audit findings are dealt with as requested within the required timeframes
  • Monitor, support and maintain the NCT’s ICT helpdesk system
  • Provide ICT helpdesk capability to both internal and external users of the NCT’s operational systems
  • Support workshops and events for the Tribunal
  • Prepare recommendations for procurement to the relevant Manager
  • Perform any other ICT functions as and when required

Minimum Requirements:
Required Work Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years Required Education Level
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology
