ENVIRONMENT:ARCHITECT, document, build, test, deliver and troubleshoot integrations between customer applications and Cloud Contact Centre technologies as the next Intermediate PHP/API Developer sought by a Cloud Tech Specialist. The role will also entail providing 3rd Line Technical Support, participating in code reviews, writing technical specs & ensuring technical integrity and quality control throughout the development lifecycle. You will require at least 3 years experience designing and developing APIs using SOAP, WSDL, RESTful Web Services, PHP, J2EE, OOP, SQL & Catching. You must also have prior work experience in system integrations and API specification and demonstrable experience of developing Windows based client/server or distributed software solutions to consistent quality [URL Removed] design, write and test new software integrations.

  • Develop existing systems by analysing and identifying areas for modification.
  • Maintain systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects.
  • Provide 3rd Line Technical Support for customer issues escalated from the Service Desk, which involves ownership and resolution to closure of these issues whilst keeping the customer and ticketing system updated.
  • Investigate new technologies.
  • Constantly update technical knowledge and skills.
  • Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project.
  • Design, code and debug applications.
  • Ensure technical integrity and quality control consistency throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews and shared knowledge.
  • Write technical specifications.

    • At least 3 years of experience in design and developing APIs using the following technologies
    • SOAP, WSDL, RESTful Web Services.
    • PHP, J2EE and Object-Oriented Programming.
    • Knowledge of Caching techniques.
    • Experience with SQL.
      • Working experience in system integrations and API specification.
      • Demonstrable experience of developing Windows based client/server or distributed software solutions to consistent quality standards.
      • Able to create and interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.
      • Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines
      • Can learn and adapt technology to develop solid client solutions.


    • National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent Degree/ Diploma.
    • Knowledge of Contact Centre Technologies e.g., IP PBX, Genesys, Asterisk.
    • C# frameworks.
    • JavaScript Frameworks (AJAX, jQuery).


    • Problem solving, task prioritization, communication, administration and organization skills are required, whilst working tight deadlines and adhering to quality procedures.
    • Consistent and thorough, the desire to ‘go the extra mile’.
    • Ability to work well within a team.
