Project: Provision and management of wellness services for routine road maintenance projects

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term
DURATION: 36 months (3 years)
Inherent requirements of the position:
- Registered Professional with Project Management South Africa (PMSA) or South African Council for Project & Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).
Registration with 1 of these professional bodies is non-negotiable
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Multi-tasking and ability to adapt well in a changing environment.
- Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and great level of accuracy.
- Ability to cope in highly pressurized environment.
- Ability to undertake regular and extensive national travel
- Valid drivers licence
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Appointment of suitable, able and competent staff, together with the administration of such staff (including those of any independent service provider/s as approved).
- Monitor/schedule/manage the work program of the Wellness programme for all sites.
- Ensure all data is accurately and timeously updated electronically and that reports of high-quality standards are produced for the management of each system.
- Supervise, co-ordinate and certify the timeous completion of all data and reports required.
- Compile a detailed spreadsheet of all stakeholders for all sites. (workers, NGO’s, local clinics, families etc.).
- Monitor training requirements and ensure processing of assignments done by trainees in order to qualify for credits. It is the duty of the Project Leader to ensure credits are loaded with SETA and that certificates are printed accordingly.
- Provide progress and other reports on all aspects of material importance regarding the project.
- Attend quarterly progress meetings to report on the status and challenges of the project.
- Identification of risks under the project, as well as communicating mitigation measures.
- Summarize monthly reports from the Wellness Champions and submit by the 25th of each month.
- Submit status report and statistics by 25th of each month.
- Ensure submission of the following reports:
- Monthly Status Reports, which includes the Wellness Champions Reports and Monthly Statistic Reports, must be submitted the 25th of each month.
- Forum Facilitation Reports – quarterly submission. This report must be submitted within 2 weeks after completion.
- HCT Reports – submitted twice a year. This report must be submitted within 2 weeks after completion.
- Statistics should be updated regularly and available for submission as and when required.
- Annual report to be submitted of all activities and statistics by the 25 of January each year. Should include the following:
- Statistics and calculations
- Data Analysis
- Analysis of usage patterns and trends of the service platforms Engagement Rate
- Themes and trends
- Value (recommendations on ensuring value for money)
- Benchmarking
- Conclusions & recommendations.
- Due to the specialized nature of this project, it is a requirement that the Project Leader obtain a qualification, an Accredited certificate in Employee Wellness Programmes. This must be obtained within the first year of the project.
