About the IT Graduate Internship Programme:
The Business Partners Limited IT Graduate Internship Programme’s objective is to bridge the gap between academic study and workplace requirements. It offers young, recently qualified, people with the potential to gain practical work experience, skills and exposure to various fields within Information Technology.
The programme has been developed to offer structured training modules relevant to a career in Information Technology. The Intern will gain broad experience across an array of technology roles. This way, it aims to prepare the intern for full-time employment and give their career in Information Technology a head-start. The selected intern will work with a dedicated coach who offers both behavioural training and practical on the job training. The IT Graduate Internship Programme will be run in Houghton, Johannesburg.
What modules are offered?
The programme offers a comprehensive training plan, with modules on Information Technology, behavioural and managerial skills:
- Orientation: Introduction to different Information Technology areas, i.e. Infrastructure, Application Development, Information Security and Privacy and exposure to Business Partners Limited processes and the IT systems that support it.
- Behavioural Skills Modules: Assertiveness, self-discovery, emotional intelligence, diversity and perceptions, self-development, corporate citizen, and stress management;
- Managerial Modules: Advanced negotiation skills, leadership and motivation, communication skills, time management, conflict management, customer service, change management, team building, presentation skills and report writing.
- IT Modules: IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, Cyber Security and Cloud technologies.

The programme is for highly motivated and talented graduates who want to follow and achieve a career path in Information Technology.
- Graduates who qualify during and after 2021 with good academic results and hold a relevant degree or diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science.
- Individuals with potential, who are hard-working, focused and driven;
- Candidates who would like to expand on their theoretical qualifications with practical experience;
- Candidates with a passion for Information Technology and a keen interest in the latest technology trends.
- South African citizen;
- Valid driver’s license;
- S/he must be computer literate.
