We are recruiting a Support Engineer Active Directory to join our team in Secunda, Mpumalanga.
Role Objective:
- Active Directory Backup Management
- Identification and implementation of improvements
Required Qualification:
- Grade 12
- A+/N+
- MSCE 2012 / 2016
Preferred Qualifications:
- ITIL Certification
Experience required:
- 2+ Years of Experience in supporting domain controller AD
- IT Experience/MES Experience preferred
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- All domain-related services.
- Users and computers on the domain
- Sites and services
- DNS
- Group Policies
- Creating groups and permissions.
- Trust between domains
- Certificate Authority
- Maintaining the domain controllers – Hardware and Software
- Patch management for all domain controllers every month.
- Fully support and maintain the following software and servers hosted on.
- AD Audit
- Quest (Backup tool used for backing up active directories)
- Make sure that monitoring software monitors all domain controllers and their hard drives.
- Maintain the daily domain health check and reports.
- Maintain the Certificate Authority.
- Maintain the Distributed File System.
- Maintain the KMS server.
- Make sure that all things happening on the domain comply with the client standard, report all things that don’t comply, and provide suggestions on how they can change it.
- Maintain the password reset system.
- Reporting on any Domain Access services as requested by the client
- Reduce bad login attempts
- Weekly coffee session with the client
- Raise any domain-related risks
- Address any domain-related vulnerabilities
- Make sure that backups are made according to the client standard.
- Test the backups regularly as the Domain is fully our responsibility and if something goes wrong you will require these backups to restore the domain.
- Assist other contracts with domain/policy-related issues.
