We are looking for an experienced Delphi Developer to completely own one of our client’s Business Units on a technical front through support and maintenance. Our client offers gaming and simulation software to Defence-, security and related technology customers in developing world markets. These solutions allow for state-of-the-art technologies, products & architectures to be tailored to achieve commercial, government & military customer’s needs.
The role will encompass tasks of refining, troubleshooting, and adding new features ensuring its seamless performance and adaptability to evolving user needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the existing team to understand the intricacies of the BattleTek IV simulation system.
- Undertake maintenance tasks to ensure the system’s functionality, stability, and performance.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance user experience and system efficiency.
- Debug and resolve any issues that arise, working in a timely and effective manner.
- Liaise with SoftLabs to address any client-specific requirements and maintain a positive working relationship.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in Delphi software development.
- Experience in and knowledge of software simulation systems will be an advantage.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Proficiency in Delphi development, with a strong grasp of its principles, practices, and design patterns.
- Prior experience working on complex software projects.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug software issues.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members and the end-user.
- Adaptability to understand existing codebases and quickly become an integral part of the team.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work and a keen attention to detail.
- The person must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Positive thinking and self-motivated.
- Result oriented and can make decisions and follow them through.
- Extremely adaptive to changes and willing to take new initiatives.
- Must be very professional in own values and the company values.
- Representations skills for the division both internally and externally.
- Must be able to work in a team.
