This position is a result of the establishment of a new engineering organisation focused on accelerating value creation through insights and machine learning. The organisation comprises three engineering squads that handle data ingestion, storage, and ML artefact development. Data engineers report to the tech leads of their squad. The Agile Delivery Leads are essential for high-performing squads, creating and evolving team rhythms and rituals to maximise time and cognitive load. They will work within the squad and across the organisation to optimise meetings, communication channels, ceremonies, and norms for agility and high performance. Mastery in group facilitation, team reflection, and agile approaches supports the squad’s evolution to high performance.
Duties include:
- Maximize ‘flow’ time for engineer execution
- Optimize team meetings and ceremonies for performance enhancement.
- Support seamless cascading from missions to sprint tasks.
- Eliminate duplication of discussions and delays.
- Address and remove persistent blockers to maintain momentum.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Relevant IT Qualification
- 3+ years in a similar role, with at least 1 year in a team or company that builds technology
- Expertise in Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, hybrid approaches
- Mastery in creating high-performing team rhythms
- Strong group facilitation skills for discussions and collaboration.
