Penetration testing: Conducting penetration tests and attack simulations on business critical infrastructure, including internal servers, networks and applications.
Identify and resolve security flaws to protect client assets.
Perform occasional tests with various methods that attackers could use to exploit information security vulnerabilities.
Conduct Assessments: Perform physical security assessments of servers, systems and network devices.
Complete threat assessment reports that outline penetration test findings and present findings to clients.
Incident Handling: Respond to and manage security incidents reported by clients.
Remotely assist with basic technical support related to the management and monitoring of client infrastructure.
Identify and define the relevant system security requirements for client infrastructure.
Prepare and participate in Client debrief meetings.
Prepare detailed and concise reports of security testing findings, including analysis, conclusions and recommendations.
Development and Coding: Assist with the development and coding of bespoke security products.
Collaborate with the technical team to design and implement custom security solutions.
Certifications: Obtain relevant certifications to further understand and excel in the role of a Security Engineer.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest Cybersecurity threats, trends and best practices through self-study, training and OEM product training.
Minimum Requirements:
A formal qualification in Information Technology / Computer Information Systems or related qualification.
Working experience as a Penetration Tester preferred.
Good understanding of ICT technologies, Networking and associated security.
Exposure to Penetration testing tools.
Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem solving skills.
Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
At least 2 years working experience in a security department or team is Essential.
At least 2 years coding experience and proficiency in Python, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and SQL is Essential.
