We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Sales Data Analyst to join the team with a leader in the manufacturing sector. The Sales Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Key Account Managers by extracting, analysing, and presenting sales data to enhance sales performance, optimize gross margin and drive growth in individual accounts.

The Position: We’re looking for a skilled Data Analyst to be office based in Woodmead, Sandton. The pay range on offer is R25 000.00 to R30 000.00 (Negotiable) CtC Package Per Month.

Requirements:

  • Must be South African with a valid South African ID
  • Completed Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience with SAP, PowerBI and other data analytics/reporting tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations
  • Familiarity with sales processes, particularly in large-scale stock movement within retail environments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data in a clear, concise manner
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with other data tools is an advantage
  • Must have a good understanding of written and verbal communication
  • Must be able to work independently and be responsible enough to work without supervision
  • Must be a Self-Starter with a highly organized mind
  • Ability to work in a self-driven, complex environment with multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables

Responsibilities:

  • Extract and compile sales data from SAP and PowerBI systems
  • Generate, maintain, and deliver insightful reports that highlight sales trends, customer behaviour and product performance
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales reports, identifying opportunities for increased sales and gross margin improvements
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to Key Account Managers to support their sales strategies and decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to align data-driven insights with overall sales goals
  • Develop tools and dashboards that track key sales metrics and KPIs
  • Understand the logistics and movement of large volumes of stock within retail channels, and advise on improving stock turnover
  • Support pricing and margin optimization strategies based on data analysis
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics that may impact sales performance
