Technical skills and experience required:
- 3 – 5 years relevant experience required as a Support Technician.
- 3 years of network support experience required.
- Implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Hypervisor cluster environments. (Hyper-V and VMWare).
- Experience with Monitoring Tools (e.g., PRTG, Zabbix, The Dude, etc).
- Experience with Microsoft Server (2012 – 2022).
- Information Security and Cybersecurity experience.
- Setting up VLANS and Inter VLAN Routing (L2 and L3 networks).
- Configuring and maintaining firewalls FortiGate/Cisco/Huawei/etc.).
- Microsoft Azure and Office 365 experience.
- Microsoft Active Directory and Server Infrastructure.

- Network design/troubleshooting.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Network Support:
- Providing 1st and 2nd level network-related support.
- Developing, designing, and supporting network architecture and computer systems infrastructure (routers, switches, access points, firewalls).
Duties:
- Providing 1st and 2nd level support.
- Support Microsoft 365 environment, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, etc.
- Supports server systems (e.g. server operating systems, server backup, routine maintenance programs, etc.) to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure all backup strategy is adhered to and that all servers are backed up by the company’s Backup Management Standard.
- Manage and maintain server security by industry best practices.
- Performs disaster recovery operations.
- Perform and manage monthly server maintenance process.
- Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
- Responsible for preparing server capacity reports weekly/monthly.
- Manage and Maintain the Active Directory including GPO, DHCP, DNS, ADFS, WSUS, File share & print services and monitoring.
- Morning and evening health checks and environment checks.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they become critical.
- Manage and maintain calls logged.
- Testing new technologies and making recommendations to senior management for improved performance.
- Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required for IT-related questions or problems.
- Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices.
- Prepare various weekly and monthly reports as and when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Senior Certificate.
- Valid IT/Networking Qualifications (A+ / N+)
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSE) or equivalent.
- Relevant OEM certification (Huawei, Fujitsu, HP, Dell).
- Hypervisor qualification will be beneficial (VMWare and Hyper-V).
- ITIL v4 would be advantageous.
