Construction company with extensive experience in the Buildings construction sector is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Durban.
Requirements:
- BSc. or BEng. Civil Engineering degree (Masters qualification an advantage).
- 5 – 10+ years experience on site construction management experience (preferably mostly in structures (buildings) but civil experience (earthworks, roads, etc) will also be good.
- JBCC / GCC / or FIDIC contractual knowledge and experience
- Excellent writing skills
- Programming skills – MS Projects / CCS (Candy) / other programming software
- Good computer skills – full MS Office suite
Key Areas of Responsibility include:
- Manage all site staff in conjunction with their KPIs
- Look after all contractual obligations of the contract (JBCC, insurances, guarantees, drawings, EOT and delays
- Ensure your contract finishes within stipulated time frame
- Manage and maintain contract under budget
- Prepare progress reports and tracking sheets for meetings
- Project manage (time , quality, costs)
- Oversee and manage performance of all sub-contractors
