Systems (Database) Administrator
My client a leading commercial fashion Retailer in Cape Town has an exciting new vacancy for a Systems (Database) Administrator.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will administer IT Systems, Databases, Software development, testing and support users across the business.
Competencies:
Minimum of 4 years Retail experience combined with solid SQL Database.
Knowledge of (T-SQL), VB Scripting, Windows platform required.
Extensive knowledge of stored procedures and database driven Web Apps.
Sound knowledge of Sybase ASA11 and experience with performance tuning (Preferred)
Experience with Power builder (advantageous)
Administration and development
Attention to detail, initiative, complex problem solving
Planning and organising
Teamwork
Relevant recognised ICT certification such as a MCITP (or equivalent) is a minimum requirement.
