Key Responsibilities:
- Data Quality & Process Implementation: Develop and implement data quality processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across Global Markets for Regulatory Reporting.
- Data Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor data quality metrics to ensure ongoing assessment and improvement of data accuracy and reliability.
- Data Governance: Oversee data governance for regulatory data, ensuring integrity, security, and usability. Manage data attestation and data lineage processes to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable data legislations and regulations in South Africa and other African countries where Global Markets operates, including maintaining a deep understanding of evolving regulatory requirements.
- Data Specifications & Product Development: Take accountability for creating specifications for data products/assets, ensuring that they align with regulatory requirements and drive compliance.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Support the Global Markets data portfolio, ensuring that data management initiatives align with the CIB data strategy, business objectives, and broader enterprise data governance policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or data governance, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting in the financial services industry.
- Data Quality & Governance: Proven experience in establishing and managing data quality frameworks, data governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with data management tools, regulatory reporting requirements, and frameworks related to financial markets (e.g., BCBS, MiFID, EMIR, etc.).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, including those specific to South Africa and African countries.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working across multiple business units, with the ability to influence and drive change in complex, matrixed environments.
