ENVIRONMENT:

A cutting-edge Digital Supply Chain Specialist seeks the technical expertise of a proactive Senior IT Network Administrator who will play a critical role in managing and optimising office IT infrastructure, network systems and customer site deployments. The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT professional with expertise in network administration, system troubleshooting, deployment support and advanced problem-solving. The role involves handling complex IT issues, ensuring network stability and leading IT projects while collaborating with IT teams, Project teams and Field Service Technicians. You will need of the following Certifications: CompTIA A+ and N+ Certification (or equivalent), MCSA or CCNA, Administrator Associate. or (AWS Certified), CCNP Or Juniper Network ITIL Foundation & Zabbix Certified Specialist. You must also have 5-7 years’ work experience in a similar role.

DUTIES:

  • Office IT Support & Network Administration.
  • Provide on-site IT support for hardware, software and network issues.
  • Maintain and manage office IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, switches and routers.
  • Ensure network stability, security and efficiency through advanced configurations.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
  • Deployment & Customer Site Support.
  • Configure and deploy PCs and network infrastructure for office and customer sites.
  • Ensure PCs are pre-configured with required software and security settings.
  • Provide remote deployment support for software/hardware installations at customer sites.
  • Manage standby PCs for Field Service Technicians, ensuring quick replacements when needed.
  • Advanced Technical Support & Troubleshooting.
  • Provide 2nd line support for escalated network, hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN and VPN issues.
  • Troubleshoot Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V and Office 365 issues.
  • Utilize network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds) to detect performance issues.
  • Support telecom infrastructure, access points, security cameras and structured cabling.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network/system configurations and deployment procedures.
  • Contribute to the IT knowledge base for troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Analyse IT incidents, identify root causes and recommend improvements to prevent recurring issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

Required: (or equivalent Certifications) –

  • CompTIA A+ and N+ Certification (or equivalent).
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Or (AWS Certified).
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Or (Juniper Network Certifications).
  • ITIL Foundation (Incident Management & IT Service Management).
  • Zabbix Certified Specialist (For monitoring system administration) or (Similar).

Experience/Skills –

  • 5-7 Years’ experience in IT Support, Network Administration and System Troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in 2nd Line IT support, handling complex network/system escalations.
  • Background in network optimization, security policies and infrastructure deployment.
  • Travel Requirements – Ability to travel to customer sites when needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 8) – Required for site visits and deployments.
  • Security Clearance – Must pass a background check (no criminal record required).

Technical Skills –

  • Network Administration & Security.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP and Firewall Management.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, HP, Aruba).
  • Knowledge of wireless networking (SSID configurations, access points setup, security settings).
  • Experience troubleshooting network latency, packet loss and security vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in firewall configurations, network security policies and access control.

System & Server Management –

  • Strong experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V and Office 365.
  • Hands-on experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies and User Access Management.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and virtualized environments.

Hardware & Deployment –

  • Experience deploying, configuring and optimizing PCs and network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting hardware issues, security cameras, structured cabling and access points.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing systems, mobile devices (iOS android, iPadOS).

Remote Support & Troubleshooting –

  • Proficient in remote desktop tools (RDP, AnyDesk, TeamViewer, SSH).
  • Ability to remotely diagnose, deploy and configure systems for customers.
  • Familiarity with weighbridge automation systems is a plus.

Advantageous –

  • IT Service Management (ITSM) Tools – Experience with ticketing & incident response systems.
  • Scripting & Automation – Basic knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python for IT automation.
  • Mentoring & Leadership – Ability to train and mentor junior IT staff.
  • Experience in a customer-facing IT role or field service support.
