We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join a growing financial services organisation. This role offers the chance to design and maintain high-performance, secure databases, while ensuring high availability and implementing disaster recovery processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database solutions for high performance and availability (Microsoft SQL Always On).
- Optimize queries and database performance.
- Manage database replication and monitor user access/security.
- Work with development teams on decommissioning outdated databases.
- Maintain documentation, data standards, and disaster recovery plans.
- Stay updated on the latest database technologies.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a database administrator.
- University degree or relevant ICT diploma/degree.
- Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019) experience.
- Cloud database experience.
- Relevant technical certifications (MCDBA, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS beneficial).
- Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Always On.
