Our Client is looking for a Business Analyst whowill be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions by analyzing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
- Gather and analyze business and system requirements from stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT teams to define and document functional and non-functional specifications.
- Perform gap analysis to identify areas where IT solutions can enhance business processes.
- Evaluate and recommend software solutions that align with business needs.
- Document end-to-end business processes to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Develop process maps, use cases, and workflows to support decision-making.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements based on industry best practices.
- Ensure that documentation adheres to organizational and compliance standards.
- Create detailed process flow diagrams to visualize business operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define and optimize workflow automation.
- Maintain and update process flow documentation to reflect system and business changes.
- Use tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN for process mapping.
- Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Ensure alignment between IT deliverables and business objectives.
- Analyze data trends and provide insights to improve decision-making.
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor key business metrics.
- Support data validation, migration, and transformation efforts during IT implementations.
- Assist in software development life cycle (SDLC) phases, including testing and UAT.
- Support change management by ensuring smooth adoption of new systems.
- Develop training materials and provide end-user support.
- Collaborate with QA teams to define and execute test cases.
- Ensure IT solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks associated with process changes and recommend mitigation strategies.
Your expertise:
- Experience – 5 – 8 years in Business Analysis in IT environments, Business Process Documentation, Process Flow Documentation
- Technology – Extensive knowledge in Visio
Qualifications:
- 3 year IT Degree or Diploma (NQF6) (Advantageous Honours or B Tech), BA Certification
