Purpose
Motemo Finance is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting our IT systems, ensuring smooth operations and offering technical support to staff. This role involves both on-site and remote assistance, with a focus on hardware, software, and network management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Computer set up and monthly update of the system
- Software and windows upgrade
- Research, Obtain and Install virus protection and / or other software and applications Virus removal enhancements
- Network set up and computer troubleshooting Router setup and troubleshooting Printer / fax set up and troubleshooting General IT work and consulting
- Unlimited remote, on-site and monitoring support when needed
- Frequently conduct Workshop repairs of all damaged
- Computer cleaning and updates of security checks
- Provide proactive services (Backups, monitor uptime on servers and connectivity)
- Weekly backup rotation services and Online / Cloud backups
- Monitor and update hardware components including laptops, desktops, servers, printers, firewalls, networking, and WiFi systems.
- Manage software applications like Anti-Virus, Office 365, Google Workspace, and provide system recommendations, rollouts, consulting, and audits

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Matriculation Grade 12
- Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1 to 2 year’s working experience and Knowledge of cybersecurity practices.
- Good command of English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Experience with office productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools
