Job Summary:
An industry leader in TaaS based in Bedfordview is seeking Field Support Engineer to ensure the seamless delivery and maintenance. This position will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to our time synchronisation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support for clients, ensuring the installation, configuration, and maintenance of time synchronisation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to time services, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to ensure optimal operation of time services.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement upgrades and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Train clients on the proper use and maintenance of time synchronization equipment and software.
  • Document all service activities, including installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and client interactions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in time synchronization technology to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and user guides for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices in all service activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a field support or technical support role, preferably in telecommunications, networking, or time synchronization systems.
  • Strong understanding of time synchronisation protocols (e.g., NTP, PTP) and related technologies id beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and best practices in technology deployment.
  • Knowledge of advanced timekeeping systems and their applications in various industries.
