What you will be doing:

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and SOC 2 controls across all divisions and monitor and report on compliance with security and privacy obligations.
  • Facilitate cross-department communication to address compliance issues and assist in implementing new compliance strategies and updates.
  • Support Security team with internal audits and evidence collection for SOC 2 controls, and assist with security and privacy training programs.
  • Maintain compliance records (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations.
  • Identify, develop, and implement action plans for risk mitigation and research and incorporate industry best practices.
  • Ensure all software compliance documentation is current and accessible and contribute to customer security assessments and RFPs.
  • Monitor the use of security software and perform security and privacy risk assessments on vendors.
  • Monitor third-party vendors for compliance and assist with IT-related issues, including troubleshooting and help desk support.
  • Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and implement and maintain cloud services.
  • General IT functions (backup, firewall, certificate management) and Microsoft 365 subscription management.
  • Standby – Alternate week on week off after-hours standby.

What our client is looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Foundational IT and security knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of privacy laws and standards.
  • Beneficial experience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits and compliance tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft licensing, Azure, and 365.
  • Experienced with Windows Server and Client OS (including 10 and 11).
  • Basic Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Group policy understanding.
  • Knowledgeable about backup and disaster recovery.
  • Skilled in Windows PowerShell and PowerCLi.
  • Experienced with server and environmental monitoring software and hardware.
  • Discreet with sensitive information.
  • High integrity and ethical.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
