- Capacity Management:
- Monitor and manage system resources, including:
- Storage optimisation and planning
- Memory allocation and efficiency
- CPU performance and load balancing
- Monitor and manage system resources, including:
- Log Shipping Configuration & Implementation:
- Configure and implement Log Shipping
- Utilize PowerShell scripts by providing Source and Destination parameters and executing scripts
- T-SQL & SSIS ETL Development & Maintenance:
- Support and maintain existing ETL Jobs and Processes
- Develop new T-SQL queries and SSIS packages as needed for incoming business demands
- SSRS Development & Support:
- Maintain and enhance SSRS Reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues
- Always On Migration & Support:
- Assist in migrating databases to Always On Availability Groups
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
- Data Archiving & Cleanup:
- Implement and execute data archiving strategies
- Manage Archive Cleanup processes to optimise performance
- Stakeholder Coordination & Change Management:
- Act as a key liaison between teams and coordinate database-related efforts
- Follow CAB (Change Advisory Board) processes to ensure proper approval and deployment of changes
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in SQL Server and related database management tools
- Strong experience in T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and PowerShell scripting
- Knowledge of AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Experience with database archiving and log shipping
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage stakeholders and change processes
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
- Microsoft Certificates welcome
