My client based in Bellville (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for a Specialist Systems Analyst to join them on a fixed term contract

Responsibilities
- Must be able to adapt and align to company standards and values quickly
- Analyse and comprehend business requirements related to potential changes or transformations
- Foster positive connections with stakeholders, including business owners, product owners, development teams, trainers, and users
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing insights on optimal solutions for business problems or initiatives
- Lead work-sessions, database design, and solution workshops to gather information and finalize requirements
- Clearly identify and document system functional and non- functional requirements in an easily understandable manner
- Create data, activity models, component flow, functional decomposition, and data flow diagrams using tools like Enterprise Architect and Confluence
- Document and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure solutions align with group architecture principles
- Address system characteristics such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability in product design
- Demonstrate solutions through walk-throughs and prototyping to analysts, project managers, architects, development teams, and testers, aiding in story estimations and prioritization
- Assist in business transitions by transferring knowledge to users, trainers, and peersversee the implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions
- Continuously research, develop, improve, and implement the analysis framework
- Offer consistent feedback to relevant stakeholders
- Provide ongoing support to both business and IT post-implementation
- Guide and support other business and systems analysts
- Proactively explore new technologies and foster innovation to enhance solutions and processes
Experience
- Com. B.Sc. in Information Technology or Informatics or any other formal qualification as a Systems Analyst.
- 3 years’ experience in Financial Services industry (LISP / Wealth / Asset management experience
- advantageous)
- 5 years as Developer in multiple development languages would be advantageous
- Must have + 3 years’ experience in regulatory projects like Anti Money Laundering, Client Due Diligence, FATCA, ext
- Must have C# experience
- Must have SQL experience
- Must have open API design patterns and modelling tools experience
- Must have documentation of Entity Relational Diagrams experience
- Must have SCRUM and other Agile methodologies experience
- Experience with UI/UX system design and integration would be greatly advantageous
- Strong Data Analysis skills would be greatly advantageous
- Experience with Domain Driven Design would be advantageous
- Experience in Design Thinking principles would be advantageous
- Experience in doing documentation in Confluence would be advantageous.
- Experience in drawing diagrams in Enterprise Architect (EA Sparx) would be advantageous
