ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic IT solutions company seeks a strong technical & highly ambitious Junior Network Architect who will join its Implementation team. You will help conduct surveying, design and draughting of building, complex and single dwelling home reticulation plans together will all administrative duties associated herewith. This will include Wayleave drawings and designs, Floating instruction drawings, assisting with creating project schedules and submitting plans and assistance with chasing up landlords until approval is obtained as required. Applicants must have proficiency with AutoCAD, Google Earth, ArcGIS and Visio or equivalent, have your own reliable transport & valid driver’s licence and be prepared to walk and do the necessary surveys.
DUTIES:
- In-depth planning according to specifications for reticulation of buildings, business complexes and single households.
- Complete splice charts and splicing diagrams.
- Wayleave drawings and designs.
- In-depth area planning and network design using Google Earth, GIS and AutoCAD.
- Floating instruction drawings.
- Assistance with scheduling of surveys as required.
- Submission of planning and assistance with chasing up landlords until approval is obtained as required.
- Upload completed building plans and wayleave drawings to the various information systems.
- Efficient administration of all implementation information systems.
- Assist with council submission of wayleaves as required.
- Assist with the creation of project schedules for various projects.
- Assist to serve as liaison with local government departments.
- Assist with quality control of ISP installations.
- Assist with overseeing and managing the wayleave que and ensuring it is up to date.
- Assist with handling wayleave related queries as required.
- Train new staff in the Planning Department.
- Come up with more efficient ways of drawing and planning.
- From time to time be prepared to undertake any reasonable requests as requested by Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be proficient in the following: AutoCAD, Google Earth, ArcGIS, Visio or equivalent.
- Candidates should be prepared to walk and do necessary surveys.
- Must have own reliable transport and a valid drivers’ licence.
- Overtime and weekend work will be required from time to time.
