Network Security Engineer
Our client in the Oil and Gas industry in South Africa is looking for a Network Security Engineer on a 9-month contract, to design, implement, maintain and monitor all aspects of their network and voice infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security and reliability of the organization’s IT network
Key Responsibilities:
- Network & Voice Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain robust network and voice systems for seamless connectivity and security.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor network performance and provide rapid troubleshooting to resolve any issues.
- 24/7 Support: Offer remote telephonic support for critical network concerns
- Travel Opportunities: Be ready to travel across South Africa and Botswana for network-related projects.
Non-negotiable
- Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Cisco ISE, or Fortinet NSE 4 (or higher) are essential.
Minimum Requirement:
- . Proven experience in network administration and deployment of network solutions.
- Strong expertise in FortiGate Firewalls, LAN, WAN, wireless, and voice networks.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Cisco ISE, NAC, TACACS, and Radius knowledge is a plus.
- A minimum of 4+ years’ experience as an Network Engineer.
