Key Responsibilities:

  • Shopper Data Expert
    • Leverage a variety of data sources (offtake sales data, shopper data, and global/local insights) to develop actionable insights.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Category Management, Sales) to align data with business objectives.
    • Take ownership of shopper insight studies and deliver clear, impactful reports to stakeholders.
  • Loyalty Card Analysis
    • Analyze retailer and shopper loyalty card data to identify trends, patterns, and growth opportunities.
    • Optimize data usage in collaboration with retail partners to enhance shopper engagement strategies.
    • Provide insights that influence in-store strategies and growth at the retail level.
  • Post-Campaign Analysis
    • Assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, promotions, and in-store activations through shopper data analytics.
    • Provide constructive feedback on campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
    • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to refine shopper analytics techniques.

Your Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in category analysis, insights, or key account sales within the FMCG industry.
  • Proficient in using syndicated data platforms (Nielsen, IRI) and working with shopper metrics.
  • Solid experience with retailer platforms and loyalty card data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of the FMCG industry and the South African retail landscape.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver insights on time and in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations at all levels of the organization.
