This role will be key in strengthening our security posture, protecting sensitive data, and developing best practices across our organization

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Incident Investigation & Threat Hunting:
    Use event logs or security tools like Darktrace, Log360, or similar tomonitor and investigate potential security incidents
  • Security Recommendations:
    Provide guidance on mandatory and recommended security measures to enhance the organization’s cybersecurity
  • Develop IT Security Best Practices:
    Collaborate with internal teams to establish and maintain company-wide cybersecurity best practices
  • Endpoint Protection Administration:
    Administer endpoint protection systems such as Sophos and Fortigateto safeguard all company devices
  • Develop InfoSec Programs:
    Assist in creating and implementing comprehensive security programs to educate and train employees on security awareness
  • Keep Security Updated:
    Ensure the company stays ahead of emerging security threats by keeping security measures up to date
  • Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation:
    Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies and protocols, including cloud, on-premise, and SAAS environments
  • MS Productivity Suite Management:
    Oversee the use of MS productivity tools such as SharePoint, Power Apps, and other essential Microsoft tools
  • Data Protection:
    Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and authorized access to sensitive company data
  • Cybersecurity Posture Testing:
    Regularly assess and test the company’s security posture to identify potential vulnerabilities and improve defenses

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • User Ticket Management:
    Ensure user tickets are resolved quickly and accurately with appropriate updates and documentation
  • User Support:
    Provide both supportive and instructive IT support to ensure users can work efficiently and effectively
  • Management Reporting:
    Report any major security or IT issues that arise to management, especially those that require additional resources or attention
  • Project Ownership:
    Lead and manage assigned IT projects, ensuring completion on time and in line with organizational objectives
  • Server & Network Support:
    Provide daily server and network support in partnership with the systems engineer to ensure smooth operational performance
