We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our, focusing on Fund Operations and reporting as well as Corporate Administration.

This role plays a critical part in shaping and optimising our clients operational and reporting capabilities, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and enhancing overall efficiency. You’ll work closely with key business stakeholders to analyse, document, and translate business needs into technology-driven solutions that enhance fund operations, corporate administration, and reporting processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Engage with business stakeholders within the Fund Operations and Reporting and Corporate Administration domain to understand and document business processes, objectives, and requirements.
  • Analyse operational, reporting, and corporate administration challenges and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements through technology.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for
  • IT development teams, ensuring clarity on whether hands-on configuration is required or if the role focuses on documentation and communication of requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design, validate, and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support the development of business cases and cost-benefit analyses to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Create detailed user stories, process models, workflows, and other relevant documentation.
  • Assist in testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA).
  • Provide training and support to end users to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and third-party technology providers, including SLA monitoring, and ensuring seamless system integrations.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure IT solutions align with industry standards and reporting requirements.

Your expertise:

  • 7+ years of experience in a business analysis role within fund operations, reporting, corporate administration, or financial services.
  • Experience working with enterprise financial, corporate administration, and reporting systems.
  • Experience within private equity, asset management, investment management, or corporate governance.
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting tools, tax compliance platforms, and document management solutions.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or equivalent.

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Relevant IT Degree (or similar)
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are highly preferred

Key skills competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in business process modelling and documentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Proficiency in requirements-gathering tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of fund operations, fund accounting, corporate administration, and financial reporting processes.
  • Experience with eFront, iManage, etc. is highly preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
