We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team based in Cape Town. This is a 12-month contract position- hybrid

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working closely with C-suite executives, possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of technical environments. Familiarity with SharePoint, especially regarding upgrades and intranet/web platform management, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives to identify business needs, priorities, and strategies.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and focus groups to gather requirements and insights.

  • Business Analysis:
    • Analyze complex business problems and provide data-driven recommendations.
    • Develop and maintain business requirement documents, process maps, and user stories.

  • Technical Coordination:
    • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
    • Provide technical insight and input for system upgrades and implementations, particularly for SharePoint and intranet solutions.

  • SharePoint Expertise:
    • Assess current SharePoint configurations and propose enhancements to improve user experience and efficiency.
    • Lead initiatives related to the upgrade and optimization of the SharePoint environment, ensuring it meets organizational needs.

  • Project Management:
    • Plan and oversee project timelines and deliverables, coordinating across various teams to ensure timely execution.
    • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage projects effectively and adapt to changing business requirements.

  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Produce detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing findings, recommendations, and project updates.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, systems, and requirements.

  • Training and Support:
    • Mentor junior analysts and team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes, particularly related to SharePoint.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
    • Experience:
      • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on working with C-suite executives.
      • Proven experience with SharePoint, particularly in upgrades and intranet/web solutions.
      • Experience working in a technical environment, with a good understanding of IT systems and processes.

    • Skills:
      • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable plans.
      • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
      • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and relevant tools.
      • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
