The Objective
We are looikng for an individual who possesses BOTH Credit MIS Analysis AND IT Project Management Skills. The position reports to the Head of Department.
Credit MIS Specialist
The incumbent is required to independently manage the entire MIS process for a non-profit organization that provides Management Information Systems on behalf of the organisation. The suitable candidate must have extensive IT experience, strong business analysis and MIS skills, and the ability to work with a limited internal IT support structure. This role involves collaborating with senior members from various stakeholders and managing complex data collection, analysis, extraction, transformation, loading and presentation processes.
IT Systems Project Management
The individual will oversee a complex, cloud-based IT system that serves as an essential tool for the credit side of the organisation. This system is critical for the debt review process and is governed by regulations and industry agreements, including but not limited to the National Credit Act. The incumbent must be able to manage the entire system development life cycle, including the service providers involved and the business stakeholders. He/She must possess strong technical skills, a deep understanding of relational databases, and an affinity for statistics and mathematics.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 15 years’ experience in IT development, IT Project Management and MIS project management.
- Minimum of 8 years of financial services/ banking industry systems projects.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in debt review projects is preferred.
- Exposure to Business Strategy Development and IT Solutions Architecture.
- Experience in IT product and tool evaluation and Extensive experience in IT, MIS analysis and MIS development. Proven MIS design capabilities.
- Experience in statistics or Management Information Systems (MIS), measure definitions and MIS reporting.
- Proven experience in management of projects (including SDLC) with complex stakeholder management.
- Experience in trouble shooting and problem space analysis.
- Great communicator with strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills
Knowledge, Exposure and/or Understanding of the following;
- Stakeholder engagement with both private and government sectors.
- Ability to engage at executive level through to fellow colleagues.
- Data analysis and statistical calculations.
- Design and lead the entire MIS process from data collection to final reporting.
- Must have advanced technical proficiency in SQL Server, Excel (including VBA) or equivalent.
- Coding and conduct data processing using advanced MIS tools.
- SDLC.

Working Conditions:
- Hybrid working model (mix of on-site and off-site) will apply.
