My client based in Bellville (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for a Scrum Master to join them on a fixed term contract

Responsibilities
- Set up and facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensure that ceremonies are productive and focused on achieving sprint goals
- Facilitate planning sessions to help teams estimate and prioritize work
- Guide teams in breaking down complex tasks into manageable pieces
- Monitor and report on sprint progress, ensuring transparency and visibility for all stakeholders
- Use metrics and data to provide insights into team performance and areas for improvement
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress
- Act as a buffer between the team and external distractions, ensuring the team remains focused on their goals
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members on Agile principles and practices
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the teams
- Administer the sprint backlog on Azure DevOps (TFS), ensuring it is up-to-date and accurately reflects the team’s work
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers / Product Owners to ensure backlog items are well-defined and prioritized
Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent technical qualification
- ISTQB certified
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with Azure DevOps (TFS) for backlog management and sprint tracking
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
- Proven track record of successfully leading Agile teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to removing impediments
