Wintel & Azure Technical Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Wintel & Azure Technical Specialist to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. This dual-role specialist will be responsible for the efficient monitoring, management, and security of Windows Server, Virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) services. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in both on-prem and cloud-based environments, ensuring operational excellence, security compliance, and seamless integration across hybrid infrastructures.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring in-depth knowledge of Windows Server, virtualization technologies, PowerShell automation, and Azure AD identity and access management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive improvements, implement solutions, and support business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows Server & Virtualization Management (Wintel):
- Administer and manage Windows Server OS [Phone Number Removed];) environments.
- Configure and manage VMware ESXi (6.x, 7.x, 8.0), vCenter, and Hyper-V clusters.
- Perform system hardening and implement failover clustering for high availability.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell for system configuration, patching, and reporting.
- Manage SCVMM and virtual environments, ensuring production stability.
- Oversee system performance, update cycles, and patch management.
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software acquisition, support, and maintenance.
- Lead change validation, migration planning, rollback testing, and post-migration support.
Azure Active Directory & Identity Services:
- Administer and support Azure AD, ADDS, Azure AD Connect, ADFS, and hybrid directory environments.
- Implement and support services such as Azure SSO, PIM, SSPR, Intune, and Azure VMs.
- Perform Office 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Design and implement Azure-based identity solutions, app proxy, and governance tools.
- Manage Microsoft 365 licensing and contribute to cloud security compliance.
- Troubleshoot identity-related issues and optimize Azure AD deployments.
- Contribute to cloud transformation efforts and DevOps integration.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Wintel server and virtualization platform management.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure AD and hybrid identity solutions.
- Strong experience in PowerShell scripting and automation frameworks.
- Proven track record in managing enterprise-level Microsoft technologies and virtualized systems.
- Experience in cloud migration projects, identity governance, and vendor management.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (MCSA/MCSE)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- ITIL Foundation (Advantageous)
