Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and upgrade SQL Server instances: Ensure that all database environments are deployed, maintained, and managed.
- Develop and implement database security policies: Protect sensitive data by establishing and enforcing security measures.
- Monitor system performance: Identify bottlenecks and optimize operations for smooth performance.
- Design and implement backup strategies: Create disaster recovery processes and failover systems to ensure data integrity.
- Perform regular database audits: Identify irregularities or potential security breaches.
- Manage database backup and recovery: Ensure data is backed up regularly and can be restored efficiently.
- Support database users and developers: Provide technical support and training as needed.
- Collaborate with IT and business analysts: Work closely with other teams to support database-related needs and projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security.
Skills:
- 5+ Years’ experience with MS SQL Server and database management tools.
- Strong understanding of database architecture and administration.
- Experience with backup and recovery procedures, performance tuning, and security.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
